Saying What You Feel Too Soon
Don’t get too caught up in how you are feeling. This is a common mistake for both men and women to make. It forces the other person to confront how they feel in return. If there has not been sufficient time for the other person to develop feelings or sort out any feelings that may be there then you may not like the result.
Too Ambivalent
Just like you don’t want to go overboard on being too obvious, you also do not want to be not obvious enough. This may cause the woman to be caught off guard when you do decide to show your interest for her, which can cause a negative reaction. Make the effort to do a little friendly flirting even if it shows some mixed signals.
Relying Solely On Words
Words are great; they can be said in playful manners that obviously show flirtation. However, they can be easily dismissed because if they are not used in conjunction with body language such as facial expressions and other playful gestures such as touching.
Not Lightening Up Enough
Taking everything too seriously takes all the fun out of the flirtation process. It should be kept friendly and light—all the romantic stuff can come later when the relationship has become more of a solid relationship.
